Get Creative: Junk Journal Workshop

Ever wanted to turn everyday scraps into something beautiful? Join us for a hands-on Junk Journal Workshop where you’ll learn to transform paper ephemera, old book pages, fabric scraps, and other “junk” into a stunning, one-of-a-kind journal.
What we will be doing:
- Sorting and assembling beautiful junk to create your own, unique book
- Learning an easy bookbinding technique
- Writing, painting, and collaging to express ourselves in our new journal
- Making pockets, envelopes, and interactive elements
- Connecting with like-minded people and spending a creative day together
What you should bring:
- Your creativity and your ideas
- No experience is necessary, you will try and learn everything while having fun
- Basic materials will be provided, but please, consider bringing some junk papers (old books, magazines, tickets, wrapping papers, photos, etc.), as your own paper collection will make the book more personal and relevant to you
- Your favorite art supplies
What to expect:
We will meet on Sunday, November 23rd at De Kolibri in Steinsel at 10 am.
We will start at 10 am with sorting our “junk” and putting it together into a book form. During the first two hours, I will explain what a junk journal is and how you can make the most of it.
At 12 pm we will have a light lunch at the café (lunch is included in the workshop fee), to continue at 1 pm with binding the book together and then working the journal pages to discover its full potential.
You will go home full of new ideas and a finished, one-of-a-kind journal bound by you!
